Depict 90 second video evaluation: The Invitation
Depict 90 second video evaluation: The Invitation
To complete assignment one; myself and my group had
to create a 90 second film of our choice. Among us, we decided to call it ‘The
Invitation,’ a short film with no dialogue.
What I think went well was the editing and the final
outcome of our film. We filmed well and got it all done quick, and the editing
we done was quick too. I think we all acted well, better than I expected. The
split screen in our film I’m pleased with because I think it makes the whole
film, instead of the film being normal screen we added that extra good bit by
putting some of it into split screen.
What I think didn’t go well was the story, because
at the end of editing we didn’t have any sort of idea what our film was really
about because it was really improvised and we didn’t really think about what we
wanted to do. We had to do about five minutes of more filming to make it have
some sort of final conclusion so the people who see it had a little bit of an
idea what was going on and what had happened. Also when we were filming some of
us didn’t wear the same clothes, so it looked a bit weird; this is a continuity
error which we are not going to make again while filming. For example, when we
shot our last clip, I wasn’t wearing the correct jumper and I didn’t have my
wig on, so it looked weird.
What I think could have gone better would have to be
the story, because we didn’t really have a clue what we were filming about; we
just made it up as we went along and it didn’t turn out too good. The end
result is still pretty poor, but it’s better than what we did have before.
